RAC 6 Confirmation Chances

RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) means you have a guaranteed seat on the train, but you are sharing a berth with another passenger. RAC/6 means you are at position 6 in the RAC list.

Chances of Getting a Full Berth

RAC/6 has extremely high chances of upgrading to a confirmed full berth (97-99%). Rac 6 is near the front and almost always confirms.

How RAC Upgrades to CNF

Every cancellation of a confirmed berth in the same class opens up a full berth. Railway TTE software assigns it to the first RAC passenger on the list. So RAC/6 upgrades only after passengers RAC/1 through RAC/5 have all been upgraded first.

Can I Board the Train With RAC 6?

Yes. RAC is a confirmed booking โ€” you can board the train. You will be given a side-lower berth that you share with one other RAC passenger. If a cancellation happens, you may get a full berth assigned by the TTE.

What Happens After Chart?

After chart preparation, RAC/6 may still upgrade if confirmed passengers do not show up at departure. The TTE has the authority to upgrade RAC passengers even after the chart is made.

Track your RAC status live on PNR Alert and set up a WhatsApp alert to get notified the moment you upgrade.
