When your train ticket is on the waitlist, the most stressful part is not knowing when โ€” or whether โ€” it will get confirmed. A PNR confirmation alert solves this by notifying you the instant the status changes, so you can stop worrying and start planning.

What Is a PNR Confirmation Alert?

A PNR confirmation alert is an automatic notification triggered when your IRCTC ticket moves from:

  • WL (Waitlist) โ†’ CNF (Confirmed) โ€” with coach and berth number
  • RAC โ†’ CNF โ€” upgrade to a full confirmed berth
  • WL โ†’ RAC โ€” partial improvement, still tracking
  • Any WL โ†’ WL (number moved) โ€” so you can track progress

How PNR Alert Sends Confirmation Alerts

PNR Alert monitors your ticket automatically using the Indian Railways PNR API and sends you a WhatsApp message the moment a change is detected. No manual checking needed on your part.

Set Up Your PNR Confirmation Alert

  1. Go to pnralert.in
  2. Enter your 10-digit PNR number and tap Check Status
  3. Scroll down and tap Get Alerts on WhatsApp
  4. WhatsApp opens โ€” tap Send
  5. Done. You will get WhatsApp alerts for every status change

What a Confirmation Alert Looks Like

When your ticket confirms, you receive a WhatsApp message like:

๐ŸŽ‰ Ticket Confirmed!
PNR: 1234567890
Train: Rajdhani Express (12951)
Passenger 1: CNF โ€” Coach B2, Berth 34 (Lower)
Journey: Apr 28 ยท New Delhi โ†’ Mumbai Central

How Soon After Confirmation Will You Get the Alert?

PNR Alert checks your status every 30 minutes on journey day, every 2 hours 1โ€“3 days before, and every 6 hours when the journey is further away. The alert is sent within minutes of the check that detects the change.

Also Check Confirmation Probability

Not sure if your WL ticket will confirm? PNR Alert shows a confirmation probability percentage based on your WL number, train class, and journey date. Check it at pnralert.in by entering your PNR.
