Frequently Asked Questions
How do I check a train's timetable or schedule?
Enter the 4โ7 digit train number in the search box and click Search. The tool shows every stop with scheduled arrival, departure, platform number, and halt duration.
What does Day 1, Day 2 mean in the timetable?
Day 1 is the day the train departs from its source station. Day 2 means the train reaches that station on the next day, Day 3 two days after departure, and so on. This is standard Indian Railways timetable notation for long-distance trains.
Does the schedule show platform numbers?
Yes, where available from Indian Railways data. Platform numbers are shown for each stop in the timetable. They may not be available for all stations as some platforms are allocated dynamically.
How do I find travel time between two stations?
Use the Journey Calculator section below the timetable. Select your boarding and destination stations from the dropdowns and it will instantly show travel duration and distance between those two stops on the route.
On which days does the train run?
The running days are shown as day badges below the train name after you search. Days highlighted in green indicate the train runs on that day of the week.
