About Tejas Express
Tejas Express is India's first train operated by a corporate entity — IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) — rather than directly by Indian Railways. Introduced in 2019, Tejas trains offer a premium travel experience with automatic sliding doors, LCD entertainment screens, WiFi, and modern onboard catering.

Tejas Express Delay Compensation: A First in India
Tejas Express introduced delay compensation to Indian Railways — a first. If your train is delayed by more than 60 minutes, you receive a ₹100 travel voucher. More than 2 hours: ₹250 voucher. The voucher can be used for future IRCTC bookings. This policy applies to all Tejas Express routes.
